An assessment will determine if the Davis programme is a suitable solution.
The first step is an Assessment
The assessment will determine if the Davis™ Programme is a suitable solution for the client’s learning difficulties and goals. Call 0432 926 639 or email email@example.com to set up an initial consultation.
Choosing a Programme
The Davis Programme is a 30-hour one-week programme which is facilitated one-on-one. Each programme is customized to address the client’s specific goals and areas for improvement. Because it is a creative programme and is designed for the learning style of the visual-spatial person, clients work with their natural strengths and talents to overcome their learning obstacles. While many other programmes address only the symptoms of the learning disability, the Davis methods get to the root cause of the learning difficulty. Clients will leave with the ability to implement the knowledge obtained during the programme into daily life.

We are willing to travel to provide programmes in your home or area!
After the Programme
The programme provides the client with all of the tools, understanding, and materials necessary to implement the strategies into their every day lives and achieve positive results. Davis Symbol Mastery® of 219 “trigger words” (those words that do not have a visual image) is an essential part of the correction of Dyslexia. Support Training is provided on the last day for family members, tutor(s) and/or teacher(s) who will support the client in this follow-up.
See the Davis Programme Follow-up Requirements here.
Clients leave with a Student Kit with all supplies necessary to continue the follow-up work at home.
Overview of the Davis Programmes
Davis Orientation Counseling®, as outlined in The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald D. Davis, provides clients with the ability to detect and self-correct distorted perception caused by confusion with letters, words, numerals, and other symbols.
Working with clay allows for confusion to be realized and resolved – in a multi-dimensional, creative way that fits the dyslexic thinking and learning style.
Clients start by resolving confusion with the basic literacy symbols, including letters (above) and punctuation marks.
Clients then work with clay to master words that do not give them a picture. We call these “trigger words” and there are 219 words identified by Davis that need to be mastered. Most of these words will be done at home, after the one-week programme.
Clients are also provided with the Davis® Reading Exercises, as outlined in the “Three Steps to Easier Reading” chapter of The Gift of Dyslexia.
These reading exercises provide clients with fundamental skills that create certainty and prevent out of context guessing. The Spell Reading, Sweep-Sweep-Spell, and Picture at Punctuation exercises were designed to improve left-right eye tracking, recognition of letter groups as words, and comprehension.
They boost confidence and certainty – which is a welcome relief for clients who know what it feels like to be uncertain while reading!
